Welcome to Insight Counselling

I have been a practicing counsellor since 2006 and I am lucky enough to have gathered a wealth of knowledge, skills and experience to offer my clients. I attend monthly supervision in accordance with the requirements of the ethical framework.

Successful counselling requires a good working alliance with the client, where trust can be built upon to encourage a client to share experiences without fear of judgement.

I offer a safe, professional and confidential service for clients and adhere to an ethical framework.

My training was in Humanistic counselling which has at it’s core optimism about human nature. And a belief is that everyone has the potential to grow, given the right conditions. Part of my counselling is about providing some of those conditions. I work as an integrative counsellor, having also worked alongside integrative models of counselling. I hold current Professional Indemnity Insurance.

Humanistic counselling encompasses theories such as Person Centred, Gestalt, Psychosynthesis and Transactional Analysis (TA). I also use Rational Emotive Behavioural Therapy (REBT) which forms part of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) since attending an Albert Ellis workshop in 2002 in Manhattan at the Albert Ellis Institute.
